While learning ancestral lineage (whakapapa), I found and followed a vitalising thread to our original lands, waters, and people of Ngāti Pāhauwera Mohaka. ‘AIO’ carries a pulse that transcends time and space, calling us back to the natural patterns of Oneness, to the dreams of our ancestors that continue to throb in the depth of our lands, waters, and in our personal and collective bodies and spirits. We are fortunate at Ngāti Pāhauwera to share lands and waters that remember ancestral healing wānanga (wisdom schools), are visited by whales, and continue to be watched over by our kaitiaki (guardians)- AIO.
